Health Education and Family Prevention Services

Part-time prevention Specialist for Pediatric Asthma Prevention Program: Part- time Asthma Prevention Specialist needed to work with children and families in their homes and in the community. The goal of the work is to teach chronic disease management skills and implement asthma prevention plans that promote health for youth and their families. Furthermore, the Prevention Specialist will conduct workshops to high risk families to teach about the disease of asthma and to identify those in need of individual case management. One year of experience in social work or case management. Bachelors degree strongly preferred and bilingual in English and Spanish required.

Family Resource Center

Employment Specialist:Full time grant funded position that has two functions: 1) works with hiring managers to identify job openings for welfare to work consumers while maintaining an up to date job bank of appropriate positions for consumers 2) works with welfare to work consumers to assist them with resume preparation and job matching. This position requires a BA degree and fluency in English and Spanish.

Family Counseling Clinic

1) Fee For Service therapists: Masters level clinician who works with the severely and persistently mentally ill population in providing:

Provides therapeutic counseling services
Facilitates psychoeducational group counseling sessions
Reviews, designs, updates, and implements treatment plans with clients
Refers to HFC psychiatrist to ensure appropriate psychiatric service delivery
Coordinates services with staff psychiatrist and other providers
Maintain accurate and timely records, documents and files.

Must be bilingual (English and Spanish) and possess a Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.

2) CADC counselor: Works with individuals who have substance use disorders and provides:

Provides therapeutic counseling services
Facilitates vocational and educational group counseling sessions
Reviews, designs, updates, and implements treatment plans with clients
Refers to HFC psychiatrist to ensure appropriate psychiatric service delivery
Coordinates services with staff psychiatrist and other providers
Maintain accurate and timely records, documents and files

Must be bilingual (English and Spanish)

Administrative Positions:

Director of Administration: The Hispanic Family Center seeks an individual with a Masters degree, IT and HR experience as well as progressive managerial experience for a new administrative position. This position will entail responsibilty for Information Technology as we embark upon implementing an Electronic Medical Record, social media endeavors and a new website. Furthermore, the job will include human resources responsibilities for a staff of 50. EOE

Internships

The Hispanic Family Center offers an internship program to BSW and MSW students enrolled in local colleges and universities. Students taking part in the program are paired with an experienced staff member who also serves as their internship advisor. HFC works with areas colleges to allow students to recieve college credits for their internship experience. Please note, we receive many applications for interns.
